Addressing the EU competitiveness challenge is a top priority for the Belgian presidency. The Ministers of Finance and Central Bank Governors will examine how public and private financing in Europe will be organized in the coming years. 

During the informal meeting of economic and financial affairs, three major debates are organised on:

• the future of the European Investment Bank with the President of the EIB Nadia Calvino,
• retail investor participation in financial markets and financial literacy,
• the future of EU competitiveness with Dr. Mario Draghi in light of his upcoming report
