COUNCIL DECISION (CFSP) 2023/2764

of 7 December 2023

amending the list of persons, groups and entities subject to Common Position 2001/931/CFSP on the application of specific measures to combat terrorism

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 29 thereof,

Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,

Whereas:

(1)

On 27 December 2001, the Council adopted Common Position 2001/931/CFSP (1).

(2)

On 20 July 2023, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2023/1514 (2).

(3)

The Council has determined that a competent authority within the meaning of Article 1(4) of Common Position 2001/931/CFSP has adopted decisions in respect of two persons who have been involved in terrorist acts within the meaning of Article 1(3) of that Common Position, and that the measures in Articles 2 and 3 of that Common Position should be applied to those persons.

The list of persons, groups and entities in the Annex to Decision (CFSP) 2023/1514 should be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The persons listed in the Annex to this Decision shall be added to the list set out in the Annex to Decision (CFSP) 2023/1514.

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
